Wedding planning is the subject of almost every Carley Roney book. The Knot Complete Guide to Weddings (1998) starts a run of 22 titles, mostly Knot handbooks on vows and traditions, gowns, flowers, the groom, the mother of the bride and wedding lists. The Nest Newlywed Handbook (2006) turns to newlyweds, and pregnancy also appears among the subjects. The Knot Honeymoon Journal (2020) is the last title.

Jean Stone writes contemporary fiction about female friendship, remarriage and starting over, much of it set on Martha's Vineyard. Sins of Innocence (1994) opens a catalogue of 26 books that reaches The Little Bookshop by the Harbor (2026).
