Åke Edwardson, born 10 March 1953 in Eksjö, Småland, is a Swedish author of detective fiction and a former journalism lecturer at the University of Gothenburg. Many of the Inspector Erik Winter novels are set in Gothenburg. Edwardson has won the Swedish Crime Writers' Academy Award for best crime novel three times.
