Andrew J. Cartmel, born 6 April 1958, is a British script editor, journalist and novelist. Cartmel served as script editor on Doctor Who through the Sylvester McCoy years, 1987 to 1989, and has also edited magazines, written comics and lectured in film studies. Doctor Who runs through the early part of a 25-book catalogue, from Warhead (1992) and Warlock (1995) to Atom Bomb Blues (2005), together with Script Doctor: The Inside Story of Doctor Who, 1986-89 (2005).
