Andrew Shaffer is an American author from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, now based in Louisville, Kentucky. Fifty Shames of Earl Grey (2012), a parody of Fifty Shades of Grey, was published under the pen name Fanny Merkin. Shaffer also wrote Great Philosophers Who Failed at Love (2011), Literary Rogues (2013) and political fiction featuring United States presidents, including The Day of the Donald (2016) and Hope Never Dies (2018). The Obama Biden Mysteries appear among the series. Shaffer founded the greeting card company Order of St. Nick.
