Campbell Armstrong (25 February 1944 to 1 March 2013), born Thomas Campbell Black, was a Scottish author with a philosophy degree from the University of Sussex. Armstrong taught creative writing at the State University of New York at Oswego (1971–74) and Arizona State University (1975–78), worked as a fiction editor in London, and later settled in Shannon Harbour, Ireland. Assassins and Victims and The Punctual Rape won Scottish Arts Council Awards.
