Dion Fortune, born Violet Mary Firth, was a British occultist, ceremonial magician and writer who co-founded the Fraternity of the Inner Light. Fortune attributed that organisation's teachings to spiritual entities called the Ascended Masters, and wrote seven novels alongside a large body of articles and books on occult ideas.
