Evelyn Anthony was the pen name of Evelyn Ward-Thomas (1926–2018), a British writer born in the Lambeth district of London. Historical novels came first, Imperial Highness (1953), Anne Boleyn (1957), Victoria (1958), Elizabeth (1960) and Charles The King (1961), and espionage thrillers followed, the Davina Graham series among them.
