Gyles Brandreth is a British broadcaster, writer and former politician, born in 1948. Brandreth presented on TV-am's Good Morning Britain in the 1980s, appears on Channel 4's Countdown, the BBC's The One Show and Radio 4's Just a Minute, and sat as Conservative MP for the City of Chester from 1992 until the 1997 general election.
