Janelle Brown, born September 12, 1973, is an American novelist and former technology and culture journalist. Brown worked at Wired from 1995 to 1998, helping launch Wired News, then wrote for Salon.com from 1998 to 2002, and co-founded the early online feminist zine Maxi. Five novels have made the New York Times bestseller list.
