Kamila Shamsie, born 13 August 1973, is a Pakistani and British novelist. Home Fire (2017) is the award-winning novel Shamsie is most widely known for. Granta magazine named Shamsie on its list of 20 best young British writers. Shamsie also broadcasts on radio and writes for publications including Prospect, The Guardian, New Statesman and Index on Censorship.
