My Struggle, a sequence of six autobiographical novels published in Norwegian as Min Kamp, was completed in 2011 and carried Knausgård's name worldwide. The Seasons Quartet followed, along with a critical work on the art of Edvard Munch and a novel series that begins with The Morning Star. Knausgård holds the 2009 Brage Prize, the 2017 Jerusalem Prize and the 2019 Swedish Academy Nordic Prize.
