Kate Mosse is a British novelist, non-fiction writer, short story writer and broadcaster. Her 21 catalogued titles begin with Becoming a Mother in 1993 and take in Labyrinth (2005), Sepulchre (2007), The Winter Ghosts (2010) and Citadel (2012). Labyrinth alone has been translated into more than 37 languages. The work divides into the Languedoc novels, the Joubert Family Chronicles, standalone novels, short stories and non-fiction, with grief, history, families and ghost stories as recurring subjects. Mosse co-founded the prize now known as the Women's Prize for Fiction in 1996, and her newest title, Autumn, appeared in 2026.
