Philip Marlowe is the private investigator of the hard-boiled fiction of Raymond Chandler (July 23, 1888 to March 26, 1959), an American-British novelist and screenwriter. Chandler turned to detective fiction in 1932 at age 44 after losing an oil company executive job in the Great Depression. The first short story, Blackmailers Don't Shoot, ran in the pulp magazine Black Mask in 1933, and the first novel, The Big Sleep, followed in 1939. Chandler published seven novels in life; Robert B. Parker completed an eighth. The catalogue lists 33 books through 2020, including short story collections and non-fiction.

The Salt Path (2018), a part-autobiographical memoir and travel diary of a walk taken after her husband's terminal diagnosis of corticobasal degeneration and the loss of their home in North Wales, became a Sunday Times bestseller and reached UK cinemas as a film in 2025; a report in The Observer in July 2025 challenged the account of both those events. The Wild Silence (2020) and Landlines (2022) follow, with hiking, homelessness and wilderness survival across all three.

Rayven T. Hill has 10 catalogued books, all published between 2013 and 2015. Jake and Annie Lincoln is Hill's catalogued series.
