Susan Dennard is an American young adult fantasy author. The debut, Something Strange and Deadly, came from HarperCollins in 2012 and named the series it opened, which runs through A Darkness Strange and Lovely (2013) and Strange and Ever After (2014). The Witchlands books followed, beginning with Truthwitch in 2016 and continuing through Windwitch, Sightwitch and Bloodwitch, with the Luminaries series after that. Witches, magic and imaginary wars are the subjects, written for readers in grades 6 to 8. Sixteen titles make up the catalogue, and Four and Twenty Blackbirds is scheduled for 2027.
