Lian Tanner, born 17 March 1951 in Tasmania, is an Australian children's author living in southern Tasmania. The fantasy Keepers trilogy is Tanner's, and its first book, Museum of Thieves, was published in 2010; editions have appeared in Australia, the United States and India, with translations into German, Turkish, Thai, Spanish, Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, Bulgarian, Bahasa Indonesia and Brazilian Portuguese. Before fiction, Tanner worked as a teacher in Australia and Papua New Guinea, and as a journalist, editor and actor.
