Lily Tuck, born October 10, 1938, is an American novelist and short story writer and a Guggenheim Fellow. The News from Paraguay (2004) won that year's National Book Award for Fiction. Siam (1999) was a PEN/Faulkner Award nominee, and Woman of Rome (2008), a biography of Elsa Morante, won the Premio Elsa Morante.
