Madeline Miller, born July 24, 1978, is an American novelist whose subjects include Greek mythology and the Trojan War. Miller spent ten years writing The Song of Achilles (2011) while teaching Latin and Greek; the novel, about the love between Achilles and Patroclus, won the Orange Prize for Fiction, and Miller became the fourth debut novelist to take that prize.
