Maggie Furey, born Maggie Armstrong in Northumberland in 1955 and dead in 2016, was a British fantasy writer and a qualified teacher. Furey published fantasy from 1994, and the Artefacts of Power tetralogy is the best known work. County Wicklow in Ireland was home for many years.
