Marcus Kliewer is a Canadian horror writer with two books to his name: We Used to Live Here (2024) and The Caretaker (2026). The debut took the Kobo Emerging Writer Prize in 2026, and horror, thriller, mystery and the paranormal are the catalogued subjects. Kliewer comes from Kelowna, British Columbia, moved to Vancouver after high school, and worked in film as crew and as a stop-motion animator, editing Amanda Strong's 2018 short Biidaaban (The Dawn Comes) and directing the 2020 animated short lot.
