Matthew Mather was a Canadian science fiction writer, born on September 28, 1969, who died on September 13, 2022. Cyberstorm (2013) is the best-known Mather book, and 20th Century Fox bought the film rights. Mather's books have been translated into eighteen languages and were both self-published and issued through publishers including HarperCollins and 47North.
