Nathan Englander is an American short story writer and novelist, born in 1970. The debut collection For the Relief of Unbearable Urges reached print through Alfred A. Knopf in 1999. A second collection, What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank (2012), took the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award that year and reached the Pulitzer Prize shortlist. Eight catalogued books also include The Ministry of Special Cases (2005), The Gilgul of Park Avenue (2007), The Twenty-Seventh Man (2014), Dinner at the Center of the Earth (2017) and Kaddish.com (2019).
