Rex Miller was the professional name of Rex Miller Spangberg, an American novelist born on 25 April 1939 who died on 21 May 2004. A series of Miller's novels follows Jack Eichord, a homicide detective who hunts serial killers. Slob, the first of them, introduced the half-ton killer Daniel Bunkowski and earned a 1987 Bram Stoker Award nomination for Best First Novel. Bunkowski returned in Chaingang, Butcher and Savant, three novels set outside the Eichord continuity. The catalogue also includes Frenzy (1988) and Iceman (1990), with subject headings for horror, serial murders, the Vietnam War and Dallas, Texas.
