Sebastian Faulks is a British writer, born on 20 April 1953, who also works in journalism and broadcasting. Faulks's reputation rests chiefly on three novels of French history: The Girl at the Lion d'Or (1989), Birdsong (1993) and Charlotte Gray (1998). Later books with present-day settings include A Week in December (2009) and Paris Echo (2018). Faulks also wrote two continuation novels: Devil May Care (2008) for James Bond, and Jeeves and the Wedding Bells (2013) for Wodehouse's Jeeves.
