Steve Burrows is a Canadian mystery writer and journalist, and a past winner of the Nature Writer of the Year award from BBC Wildlife. The Birder Murder Mystery series is Burrows' one sequence, running to 10 books from A Siege of Bitterns (2014) to A Murmuration of Starlings (2026); every title names a collective noun for birds.
