Wil Haygood is an American journalist and author, born in Columbus, Ohio, on September 19, 1954. A 2008 Washington Post article by Haygood about the White House butler Eugene Allen became the basis for the 2013 film The Butler. Haygood later wrote a book about Allen, The Butler: A Witness to History.
