Legacy of the Force is a run of nine science fiction novels published between 2006 and 2008 in the Star Wars expanded universe, set roughly 40 years after the film Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and about 11 years after the New Jedi Order saga. Del Rey Books issued the series, which Troy Denning, Aaron Allston and Karen Traviss wrote in an alternating cycle, in a mix of hardcover and paperback. Betrayal (2006) opens the sequence, followed by Bloodlines (2006), Tempest (2006), Exile (2007), Sacrifice (2007), Inferno (2007), Fury (2007) and Revelation (2008), and Invincible closes it in 2008. Luke Skywalker, space warfare and imaginary battles run through the subjects.
