Legend is a Marie Lu science fiction series of 7 books published from 2011 to 2019. Jacket copy for one book sets the story where the western United States has become the Republic, a nation always at war with its neighbours. June, 15, is a prodigy from an elite family being groomed for the military; Day, also 15, grew up in the slums and is the Republic's most wanted criminal. When June's brother Metias is murdered, Day becomes the prime suspect. Legend (2011) opens the series, Prodigy and Champion (both 2013) follow, and Rebel (2019) is the latest.
