Young Jedi Knights is a Star Wars young adult series written by Kevin J. Anderson and Rebecca Moesta between 1995 and 1998. The sequence covers the Jedi training of the twins Jacen and Jaina Solo, children of Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo, opening when the twins are fourteen and 23 years have passed since the Battle of Yavin. Planned as six novels, the run reached fourteen, from Heirs of the Force (1995) to Crisis at Crystal Reef (1998). A further volume, Jedi Shadow, gathered the first three books in 2003.
