Jean Hager is an American writer of mystery fiction, children's fiction and romance, born in 1932, who published romance under the names Jeanne Stephens, Leah Crane, Marlaine Kyle, Amanda McAllister and Sara North. Two of her three mystery series draw on modern Cherokee life in Oklahoma, one following police chief Mitch Bushyhead and the other civil rights investigator Molly Bearpaw.
