Kenneth Roberts (1885–1957) wrote regionalist historical fiction about Maine and the upper New England states. Roberts worked first as a journalist and became nationally known for the Saturday Evening Post between 1919 and 1928, and his early books, from Europe's Morning After (1921), come out of that reporting. The novels that follow, beginning with Arundel (1930), take up the American Revolution and the 1775–1776 invasion of Canada. 25 titles are catalogued, the last of them Water Unlimited (1957).
