Louisa Young is a British novelist who also writes songs, short stories, biography and journalism. Two series stand under her name: Evangeline Gower and My Dear I Wanted to Tell You. The non-fiction includes A Great Task of Happiness (1995), a life of Kathleen Scott, The Book of the Heart (2002), and You Left Early (2018), an account of her relationship with the composer Robert Lockhart.
