The Gentleman Bastard Sequence is the series American fantasy writer Scott Lynch, born April 2, 1978, is best known for. The Lies of Locke Lamora, bought by Orion Books in August 2004, came out in June 2006 from Gollancz in the United Kingdom and Bantam in the United States. Red Seas Under Red Skies (2007) and The Republic of Thieves (2013) continued the sequence, and The Thorn of Emberlain is planned as the fourth of seven books.
