Mario Acevedo is an American novelist and artist, born in El Paso, Texas, on July 6, 1955, and based in Denver, Colorado. Acevedo created an urban fantasy series about Felix Gomez, a vampire private investigator. Earlier jobs included military helicopter pilot, paratrooper, infantry officer, engineer, art teacher and software programmer, and Acevedo served as a soldier and artist for the U.S. Army in Operation Desert Storm.
