Nancy Pearl, born 12 January 1945, is an American librarian, author and literary critic, and served as executive director of Seattle Public Library's Washington Center for the Book. Pearl became known locally in Seattle for recommending books on public radio, and reached a wider audience with Book Lust (2003), a guide to good reading. Library Journal named Pearl Librarian of the Year in 2011.
