Patrick Robinson, born in 1940, is a British novelist and newspaper columnist best known for naval thrillers. Those novels build each plot around a crisis facing the world in the early 21st century, with US Navy SEALs, submarine warfare and terrorism as recurring material; Admiral Arnold Morgan and Mack Bedford anchor the two main series. Robinson also wrote four non-fiction books on thoroughbred horses, plus True Blue, an account of the 1987 Oxford Boat Race mutiny co-written with Dan Topolski that won the first William Hill Sports Book of the Year in 1989, and One Hundred Days, a biography of Admiral Sir Sandy Woodward.
